Battery and charger technology
Barloworld working with leading battery manufacturer Hoppecke can provide a truly fit and forget solution. Hoppecke's unique Track Air battery system incorporates an electrolyte circulation system that can reduce battery charging time and reduce emissions produced by charging by up to 75%. The requirement to top up the battery is reduced to only once every 3 months and the system can even allow opportunity charging without damaging the fork lift battery.

IUIA constant current chargers can be supplied for greater life expectancy and reduced energy consumption. The IUIA battery charger operates at a fraction of the cost of a standard taper charger. We can also provide remote switching which switches the battery charger off as soon as the battery lead is unplugged.

Battery maintenance service
Relying on staff to manage forklift batteries can lead to unnecessary downtime and increased risks related to damage and accidents. With Barloworld's TBM service our technicians take responsibility for topping up the fork truck batteries and maintenance which then allows you to relax and concentrate on day to day operations. There will be no need to train your staff to do this and safety concerns will be much reduced. Damage to the batteries through over topping or under topping will be avoided and batteries will perform at full capacity.

Battery regeneration
Our award winning MACBAT battery regeneration technology can double the service life of traction batteries used in forklift trucks and brings sulphated batteries back to life. Sulphation is the chemical reaction that starts from day one in a battery's life. Some high frequency chargers can remove a small amount of sulphation but only the MACBAT process can remove all of the sulphation and bring the battery to as new performance. MACBAT delivers high pulses of current through the battery to remove the sulphation. A regular maintenance regeneration from Barloworld will ensure your battery provides maximum performance throughout its service life.

Please note, if you have a poorly performing, sulphated or otherwise non working battery we will need to evaluate the battery to check for cell damage before establishing if a MACBAT regeneration will work.

Battery handling and storage
