Health and Safety
When working with materials handling equipment, health and safety is always our number one priority. All Barloworld personnel receive suitable training to maximise site safety and follow consistent written safety procedures. We also help our customers to improve safety and reduce accidents through good advice, safety audits and relevant training.
Duty of care
Our fully highly trained and experienced technicians follow ISO9002 procedures and have in depth product knowledge covering ways of working with fork trucks and materials handling equipment. Our duty of care processes cover waste management meaning that any potentially hazardous materials replaced during the servicing of your fleet such as oils, parts and tyres are removed from your site for appropriate disposal.
Training audits
Barloworld can provide a safe audit for your company that will survey your site and look at the training needs of your employees. As one of the UK's leading training providers we train some 12,000 delegates per annum on the safe and proficient use of materials handling equipment. We also provide manual handling courses helping to reduce the large number of injuries that occur each year due to poor lifting technique.
Handling equipment safely
Barloworld provides the key health and safety information you need covering your legal obligations relating to the servicing and operation of your fleet. In addition to annual preventative maintenance we provide Thorough Examinations to the CFTS industry standard which checks the safety critical components of your lift truck. It is a legal requirement under LOLER regulations that all lifting equipment receives at least one thorough examination per annum.
Safety Equipment
In additional to forklift trucks we provide a full range of health and safety equipment including access platforms, safety steps and personal protective equipment for when working at height. Visit our online store to find out more. We also have considerable experience supplying and supporting equipment solutions in hazardous environments including areas categorised at ATEX Zone 1 or Zone 2.
