New Low level order pickers LO2.0 and LO2.5 with Scooter control

Barloworld Handling is pleased to introduce the new range of Hyster low level order pickers LO2.0 and LO2.5 (E444 series) with scooter control. This new series replaces the current LO2.0M and LO2.0-2.0L and offers significant operational enhancements including a 10% improvement in energy efficiency over previous models.

• Capacities of 2.0t (LO2.0) and 2.5t (LO2.5).
• Powerful 2.6 kW AC traction motor. 
• Electronic steering. 
• Travel speed 8.5 km/h with load and 10.5 km/h without load. 
• Fixed operator platform is standard on this series for 1st / 2nd level picking. 
• Optional lifting platform to 980mm for effective 2nd / 3rd level picking.

LO2.0 and LO2.0 low level order pickers are available with an increased maximum travel speed of 13 km/h with loads up to 1200 kg, plus there is optional speed control and powerful 24v 465 and 620 Ah batteries for maximum shift life.

Following customer feedback scooter control is included as standard. This is an even more exciting combination on these new low level order pickers, where customers can benefit from higher performance and improved control. Low level order picker applications are found throughout the supply chain, where multiple truck fleet users can operate up to 24 hours a day - 7 days a week including national and local grocery retail businesses, Health and beauty products, wholesale distribution and the automotive industry.

High reliability 

• Robust, steel made frame. 
• Polyethylene made covers produced with rotational molding with very high resistance to impacts. 
• IP65 controllers.
• Enhanced ergonomics 
• The new operator compartment has been designed for increased operator comfort with full platform sensing mat for operator's presence. 
• The scooter control, mounted on 13° tilted up plate, reduces operator's arm and shoulder movement, thus reducing driver fatigue. 
• Adjustable speed reduction on cornering.

Excellent serviceability
There are reduced service requirements with periodic maintenance established at 1000 hours. AC traction and steering motors eliminate common wear items. Electric components have been mounted on a unique support panel that is fitted with 3 fasteners for quick assembly and removal. Two screws to uncover the motor compartment and a flip up battery cover is unlocked by means of a lever.

Available options
The availability of extensive options on all trucks enables the Barloworld Handling to provide the customer with a perfectly tailored solution. Options include:

• Foot controlled lifting platform for easy 2nd / 3rd level picking available with two different lifting heights which can elevate to 980 mm without side arms required. A higher 1500 mm platform with side arms will be available from January 2012.
• Cold store version available as a standard option.
• Fork lengths 1006 mm / 1156 mm / 1406 mm / 1606 mm / 1956 mm / 2156 mm / 2356 mm / 2856 mm.
• Available fork widths 480 mm / 530 mm / 560 mm / 670 mm.
• Choice of large variety of chargers.
• Standard warranty option of 24 months or 2000 hours and an extended warranty option of 36 months or 4000 hours.
• 3 different lateral battery extraction options: left, right or both sides.
• Load backrest.
• Two start systems are available: a classical key switch or a key pad.
