Barloworld, the MoD’s preferred materials handling equipment supplier, has shown its continued support for inter-services sport by renewing its sponsorship of the Royal Logistic Corps rugby team (RLF RUFC) into 2009.  

On the 3rd December, Managing Director of Barloworld, Geoff Tucker presented a cheque to the RLC Corps Colonel, Colonel Mark Baker at the RLC Rugby Ground in Aldershot, marking its continued support for the 2008-2009 season. Barloworld has sponsored RLC Rugby for the past nine years. Commenting on the continued sponsorship, Gary Newell, Director of Barloworld said “Our support is based on our philosophy of being active in the communities in which we work and serve”.

Since 2000 Barloworld Defence Logistics Support has managed the British Armed Service’s entire materials handling fleet, and today the company manages some 4,000 pieces of equipment in 600 MOD establishments throughout the UK and eleven countries worldwide.
